The Great Harry Potter Adventure.

So. I have just finished the final installment of Harry Potter. I have just found out the conclusive ending to a story that I've been deeply involved with since the fifth grade.

And I am so happy. It was fabulous.

10:30PM - Arrive at Borders with Sam.
12:01AM - Friend wins the raffle and is the first person to get his book. Jackass.
1:00AM - Finally have the Harry Potter book in my hands.
1:25AM - Buy Taco Bell.
1:40AM - Finish eating Taco Bell and begin reading.
4:30AM - Watch the sunrise from the recliner in my blessedly empty house.
5:30AM - Take a break to feed and let out the dogs that I'm watching.
8:00AM - Attempt a nap. Unsuccessful.
9:00AM - Take a break to eat breakfast.
10:00AM - Take a break to ponder how I have hundreds of pages left to go.
11:00AM - Insane reading marathon.
1:30PM - Lose count of how many times I've cried.
3:00PM - Finish reading the final book in the most amazing, enthralling, captivating series of all time.
3:45PM - Eat a chicken pot pie.
4:00PM - Fucking pass out until Monday morning.

Prom.

It. Was. Amazing.

I'll tell you all about it later. Right now I'm waiting for Kelly so we can pick up Suzanna and head up to Eden's cabin in Wisconsin for the weekend.

It was beautiful, man. I could not have asked for more.

Don't Panic.

Okay, so I slept with my windows open the other night, right? And this morning...a bee flies in my window as I'm just starting to get dressed after my shower. Soooo...I'm completely naked. Freaking out. And trying to get this flippin' bee to get the hell out of my room before it stings me. I clearly could not just fling my shades up and open the windows wide considering my...state..of...nudity. And I couldn't open my bedroom door and let it out because my dad is violently allergic to bees and I didn't want to risk him getting stung by it. So. I rushed to get dressed and right as I was pulling my pants on, the little shit flew up into my ceiling lamp, buzzed like mad for about thirty seconds, and then fried to a crisp.

All that panic for nothing.

Now. There is a moral to this story. I was, previously, freaking out because I have the AP tests coming up. Four of them. I'm totally unprepared for them, so I've been a bit stressed. Don't panic over nothing. Don't panic just because a bee is potentially going to attack you while you're trying to get dressed.

There ya go. :3

Our Hearts Are Beeping...

So, for months Sam and I have been planning a screening of the Invisible Children film. After fussing with problems finding a location for the screening, dodging legality issues, and dealing with our ridiculous principal and his lack of tact, punctuality, and organization...the event took place successfully this evening.

And it was amazing. It was positively one of the most fulfilling things I've ever done.

We met the reps from the organization around 6PM, people trickled into the auditorium for about an hour, and then the film started just after 7PM. We had a turnout of a total of about 40-50 people. Thank you so much to Matt, Katie, and Sarah(?) for helping to make this a reality. We (obviously) could not have done it without you (since we wouldn't have had a projector to show the film with...:3). And thank you, of course, to everyone who came to the screening.

I hope you all realize that just by seeing the film, you've made a huge difference. Awareness is the key to ending this war. You have all done your part by opening your eyes, your ears, and your hearts. Thank you all so very much.

If you were unable to make it to the screening...please go to InvisibleChildren.com and have a peek around. It will change your life. Thank you for your time and your efforts, everyone.
