So. I have just finished the final installment of Harry Potter. I have just found out the conclusive ending to a story that I've been deeply involved with since the fifth grade.
And I am so happy. It was fabulous.
10:30PM - Arrive at Borders with Sam.
12:01AM - Friend wins the raffle and is the first person to get his book. Jackass.
1:00AM - Finally have the Harry Potter book in my hands.
1:25AM - Buy Taco Bell.
1:40AM - Finish eating Taco Bell and begin reading.
4:30AM - Watch the sunrise from the recliner in my blessedly empty house.
5:30AM - Take a break to feed and let out the dogs that I'm watching.
8:00AM - Attempt a nap. Unsuccessful.
9:00AM - Take a break to eat breakfast.
10:00AM - Take a break to ponder how I have hundreds of pages left to go.
11:00AM - Insane reading marathon.
1:30PM - Lose count of how many times I've cried.
3:00PM - Finish reading the final book in the most amazing, enthralling, captivating series of all time.
3:45PM - Eat a chicken pot pie.
4:00PM - Fucking pass out until Monday morning.

Prom.
It. Was. Amazing.
I'll tell you all about it later. Right now I'm waiting for Kelly so we can pick up Suzanna and head up to Eden's cabin in Wisconsin for the weekend.
It was beautiful, man. I could not have asked for more.

Don't Panic.
Okay, so I slept with my windows open the other night, right? And this morning...a bee flies in my window as I'm just starting to get dressed after my shower. Soooo...I'm completely naked. Freaking out. And trying to get this flippin' bee to get the hell out of my room before it stings me. I clearly could not just fling my shades up and open the windows wide considering my...state..of...nudity. And I couldn't open my bedroom door and let it out because my dad is violently allergic to bees and I didn't want to risk him getting stung by it. So. I rushed to get dressed and right as I was pulling my pants on, the little shit flew up into my ceiling lamp, buzzed like mad for about thirty seconds, and then fried to a crisp.
All that panic for nothing.
Now. There is a moral to this story. I was, previously, freaking out because I have the AP tests coming up. Four of them. I'm totally unprepared for them, so I've been a bit stressed. Don't panic over nothing. Don't panic just because a bee is potentially going to attack you while you're trying to get dressed.
There ya go. :3

Our Hearts Are Beeping...
So, for months Sam and I have been planning a screening of the Invisible Children film. After fussing with problems finding a location for the screening, dodging legality issues, and dealing with our ridiculous principal and his lack of tact, punctuality, and organization...the event took place successfully this evening.
And it was amazing. It was positively one of the most fulfilling things I've ever done.
We met the reps from the organization around 6PM, people trickled into the auditorium for about an hour, and then the film started just after 7PM. We had a turnout of a total of about 40-50 people. Thank you so much to Matt, Katie, and Sarah(?) for helping to make this a reality. We (obviously) could not have done it without you (since we wouldn't have had a projector to show the film with...:3). And thank you, of course, to everyone who came to the screening.
I hope you all realize that just by seeing the film, you've made a huge difference. Awareness is the key to ending this war. You have all done your part by opening your eyes, your ears, and your hearts. Thank you all so very much.
If you were unable to make it to the screening...please go to InvisibleChildren.com and have a peek around. It will change your life. Thank you for your time and your efforts, everyone.

Horoscope.
Here's my horoscope for today. And it's oddly fitting. I don't usually pay much attention to horoscopes, but this one is actually pretty truthful. And it's a weird one. I mean, that can only apply to so many situations...XD
It's challenging now to tell the past from the present as your emotions speak to you from the depths of your subconscious mind. You can transform your hidden feelings into constructive actions by first allowing yourself to sink into your fantasies. Then, if any one feels better than the rest, focus on it and gently nudge your life in that direction.
Monday, March 26, 2007
I'm pretty much wallowing in memories and fantasies today. It's quiet here, everyone's out or at work. It feels like summer. It's just me and the doggies. And I have time to think and relax. And daydream about college...XD
On that note, I have a great big entry to input ASAP about my weekend at Findlay a couple days ago. It was wonderful.
But more on that later. For now, I'm heading outside to read and bask in the sunlight. :3
P.S. This is an awful headline. It could be taken completely in the wrong context..."Iran grills British sailors" -News24 Someone ought to do a better job proofreading...:/ I mean, at first I thought..."Iran grills British sailors and eats them with a side of chips." They should really rethink that one XD

On Disobedience.
"Disobedience, in the eyes of anyone who has read history, is man's original virtue. It is through disobedience and rebellion that progress has been made." -Oscar Wilde
Tell that to my mother, Mister Wilde. I just think that is positively beautiful and ultimately truthful. I've never been much into Oscar Wilde, but I think he and I may need to have a little heart-to-heart sometime soon.
Note to self: Read "Pride and Prejudice", "Scaramouche", "Gone with the Wind", and "The Picture of Dorian Grey". A.S.A.P.

AP Biology.
What have I learned from AP Biology? Well...mostly nothing. But here's something that's sure as hell going to stick with me...
Penis Fencing.
"Flatworm reproduction is hermaphroditic, meaning each individual produces eggs and sperm. When two flatworms mate, they exchange sperm so both become fertilized. Some flatworms, such as Pseudobiceros hancockanus engage in penis fencing, in which two individuals fight, trying to pierce the skin of the other with their penises. The first to succeed inseminates the other, which must then carry and nourish the eggs."
Aren't you glad we humans don't partake in that particular sport?
Well, I am.
Don't get any sick ideas, you little freaks.

The Sugar-Free Cookie.
So, I started Weight Watchers with my mom last Thursday. And it's going pretty well. I lost six pounds, not that that's even barely a dent into my ultimate goal, but it's something at least.
Just now. I really wanted a cookie. If it can even be called a cookie...it's a sugar-free oatmeal cookie. I know. I know. "Sugar-free" and "cookie" do not even belong in the same sentence. But anyway. I decided that I'm going to do half of my biology homework before I eat that damned cookie. It was between my teeth already. I had my mouth open, cookie-in-hand, when I paused and decided this. And slipped it back into it's stupid little plastic package. And walked away.
Talk about resolve. I resisted the sugar-free cookie.
But still, it's something. Some flicker of hope for my pathetic excuse for will-power...XD

Surprise.
So, Chris just called me! And I was completely flippin' bewildered as to why she would be calling me again...
She told me that I can continue to ride Legacy, even though I can't pay for it right now. I told her absolutely, as soon as I can afford it, I'll start paying again, immediately. I'm so happy, I can't even believe it.
Thanks so much, Chris. What a wonderful lady.

Car Trouble.
How am I today?
Pretty crappy. This is what I woke up to this morning.
I was having some car trouble recently. Brakes and things. So Dad took it into the shop today and it was $850 to fix everything up. x.X...Luckily, he talked them down to $650, but...I have exactly $701.26 in my savings right now, and no job. So that's basically all my money out the window.
And I had to call Chris, Legacy's owner, and tell her I can't afford my half of the board this month...*sighs* She was pretty understanding, I think. Said I could call her back next month or this month even, if I get some money...
What a horrible day. At least my car will drive beautifully after this...

Frustrations.
I am sooo tired of filling out scholarship applications and not getting anything in return. UGH! I've been doing this since the end of sophomore year. Why won't anyone give me any money? XD
I'm taking a belly dance class at the park district as soon as I find out the info and how much it costs. Anyone want to go with me? XD

Vomit.
I am so sick. I ate chicken kiev and rice for dinner last night and as I was eating the last few bites I started to feel really odd. I just ignored it and, even though my tummy was hurting and felt just fuckin' weird, I went to sleep at about 10 PM, but I couldn't get warm. I was fucking freezing even though I had a fleece blanket and my down comforter wrapped around me. Finally fell asleep at some point, but...At exactly 1:30 AM I woke up and had to run to the bathroom to throw up. Which I repeated about every hour.
All. Night. Long.
This morning I woke up feeling like I hadn't had anything to drink in about two months. Dehydrated, I guess. So, I drank like five glasses of water, which I promptly threw back up.
Haven't eaten all day. I just drank the last couple sips of Lyndsay's Pepsi while we were in Spanish class and that's stayed down, so far. The thought of food, the smell of food, and the sight of food makes me want to throw up again.
I'm so tired and as soon as I finish typing this I'm going to go upstairs, snuggle into my bed and pass out. Hopefully until tomorrow morning.
Wish me luck.

Baby Names.
If I ever have a son and a daughter they'll be named Rhett and Vianne. I just wanted to put that out into the world.
Rhett from "Gone with the Wind" and Vianne from "Chocolat", two of my favorite books. Holden is also an option. Gotta love "Catcher in the Rye". Plus, Rhett is a good cowboy name and my son will, of course, be a cowboy. :3

General Complaints.
-The corners of my lips are chapped and hurt every time I move my mouth in any way.
-I hate winter, especially when the snow isn't even sticky enough to build a decent snowman or have a good snowball fight. I guess I could go sledding.
-My bangs are nearly down to my chin and I need a trim badly.
-The dermatologist gave me some shit that is totally drying out my skin. Fucking gay.
-I am failing two classes, although for obvious reasons. I'm missing two tests in each. Problem is, I don't know any of the information in order to pass those tests.
-I am still unemployed.
-I am completely starved for affection. If you see me on the street, just hug me, okay?
P.S. I am sick of my life.

Reunion.
Thanks to the technological glory of Facebook and the World Wide Web, I just spent the last three hours talking on the phone with my very best childhood friend. It's incredible how you can just slip right back into friendship even after all these years. I haven't seen her since high school started and even then, very rarely. I can't even believe how happy I am to have come back into contact with her.
Thank you, Chelsey. You're still just as amazing as you were back then.
Oh, and Mr. Sabre was tonight. It was phenomenal. Orion won, of course. XD He played his bongo and sang "Elias" by Dispatch, which is honestly one of my favorite songs. It was beautiful. Everyone did just incredible and I cannot wait until I can buy it on DVD. I will be FIRST IN LINE, I swear.
Also, got my braces tightened again and got smaller elastics. Ow. Holy son of a mother, ow. My teeth are killing me.
P.S. It's nearly 1 AM and I have a Spanish test tomorrow. Oh, and an AP Bio test. Oh, and two chapters of APUSH 30-40 short essay questions due. Oh, and some crazy restaurant project for Foods class. Oh, and some other crazy project for English...That's right. I haven't done aaaanything all evening. I'm a senior. I do what I want. (Love ya, Saaaammmm :3)
